All vehicles transported by Unlimited Auto Trans and our affiliated carriers come fully insured, licensed and bonded with nationwide coverage by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) as well as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

In the unlikely event any damage occurs to your automobile during transit, you will be fully covered for the cost of any repairs.

The cost associated with automotive transportation insurance is included in the price of shipment, with no hidden fees.

Make sure to thoroughly inspect your vehicle prior to transport and fill out the bill of lading form as accurately as possible, making note of any damage before and after shipment.

When prepping your vehicle for transport, leave your car or truck’s gas tank with no less than 1/8 and no more than half a tank full. While some gas is needed to load and deliver your vehicle, we also need to meet the Department of Transportation’s stringent weight regulations. Minimizing weight also drives down the overall cost of transportation, allowing us to provide the most competitive prices possible.

We also ask that you wash your car or truck prior to shipment. All serial numbers, parts and identifying markers need to be clearly visible for proper inspection.

Prior to transport, clear your vehicle of all personal items. Throughout the shipment process, your vehicle will be subject to an array of possible Department of Transportation searches and inspections. Personal belongings left in vehicles can lead to costly weight restriction violations as well as posing safety and security concerns.

Unlimited Auto Trans and associates are not responsible for any personal items left behind in vehicles during transport.

The Department of Transportation does not allow any items to be shipped in a vehicle on an auto carrier. Drivers can be subject to random searches, and extra items can also put the carrier over their weight restrictions, resulting in expensive fines for the driver.

Unlimited Auto Trans, and/or the assigned Carrier, is not responsible for any personal items left in the vehicle. Also, items placed in the car are not insured.

In terms of damage, there is no significant difference between the two options. However, on an open transport, the vehicle is exposed and would, therefore, be subject to weather conditions and wear-and-tear on the road (just as if you were driving it yourself) as opposed to the enclosed trucks.

Communication is one of the most important parts of auto transport. You will be provided with both the driver and dispatcher’s number to call to get an update.

We kindly ask not to call the driver an overly amount, since we want them focusing on the road.
